Fuyu Imoto Persimmon tree has fruit that matures to brilliant orange in late fall and can even hang on into winter. Most persimmons are delicious once truly ripe and very soft, however this variety is non-astringent, so you can eat the fruit while it's still firm. The flavor is delicious, rich and sweet with a hint of autumn spice, a little like nutmeg. It starts producing fruit at a young age, and as it matures, it delivers tons of fruit. New foliage starts yellow-green in spring, becomes a nice glossy green in summer and then turns golden and red in fall, adding even more color to the scene. Hardy in USDA zones 7 to 10.
